Baughman Bridge
This post on #TheHistoryUnderCheney takes us to the little bend in the road, right in the middle of our township map, marked with red arrow. The Baughman Bridge crossed the North Fork Ninnescah, near the intersection of Maple Grove and Mayfield Rd. This was a popular spot for camping and fishing prior to the lake existing. My Grandpa even had stories about camping here. In the background you can see the farmsteads of S Lubbers, Ed Lubbers, Joe Theis, and Ed Heimerman. The Heimerman Farm sat at the end of where Wichita Point is now.Â
